The Role

Duties involve building an intimate knowledge of the Inner Range product suite (hardware and software) and include:

  • Conduct testing of in house designed software as well as integrations to 3rd party software/hardware.
  • Work alongside a team of software developers and fellow test engineers.
Primary Role:
  • Author and maintain product verification and regression test documentation.
  • Utilise in house test frameworks and environments to cover testing needs.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing in a range of environments from VM's to cloud systems.
  • Liaise with Installers/Contracts outside of Inner Range in order to gain further knowledge of potential system problems and end user implementations.
Specific Required Skills
  • Basic, recently applied knowledge of networking protocols, virtual machines and databases.
  • Ability to select, deploy and maintain testing and quality assurance tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • The ability to diagnose computer configuration and network faults.
  • An attention to detail.
Skills considered highly desirable include:
  • Electronics knowledge.
  • A knowledge of TCP/IP communications and Ethernet.
  • Any experience in the installation of security or access control systems.
  • Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
  • Automation test frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
