About the Role

This full-time, ongoing opportunity, commencing from Term 1, 2026, offers an outstanding educator the chance to be part of something truly unique - a dynamic learning environment where every year 5 and 6 student is deeply known through our mentor program, whilst exploring their potential across a diverse and engaging range of specialist-taught subjects.

Reporting to the Head of School (Years 5 and 6), you will teach within inspiring purpose-built spaces where holistic education meets academic excellence, guiding curious minds to discover who they are becoming as part of the wider St Leonard's College story.

We're seeking an exceptional educator who demonstrates:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education.
  • Current VIT Registration.
  • Comprehensive Australian Curriculum knowledge, combined with an understanding of best practice approaches that support the needs of students transitioning toward adolescence.
  • Use of contemporary pedagogy and integration of technology to create engaging student experiences.
  • An ability to work flexibly and thrive in dynamic, student-centred environments.
  • A passion for or an interest in leading the teaching of mathematics across Years 5 to 8 (preferred, though not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to actively contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Genuine dedication to our College ethos, creating caring learning communities that honour each child's potential.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional learning and reflection, with a drive to adopt best practice initiatives in line with College vision and values.
