Naval Architect

Incat Crowther is growing We are looking for enthusiastic naval architects and engineers to join our team and be involved in the design of a wide variety of industry leading, high-speed vessels. As a member of our Digital Shipbuilding team, you will be involved in:

• The design of high-speed passenger, leisure, defence and offshore support vessels
• Working at the leading edge of green energy integration into the maritime industry
• Aluminium, steel and composite structures
• Engineering and design calculations including structures, FEA, stability, sea keeping and powering
• Maintaining a high level of quality and service to our global client base

Role Requirements

• The successful applicant will have the following experience and attributes:
• An engineering degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship
• An interest in working in the maritime industry
• A strong working knowledge in the use of AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in Maxsurf, ShipConstructor, Rhino and FEA software preferred
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the drive to deliver
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• A diverse range of skills and willingness to learn and be involved in multiple projects
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
