The Opportunity

Core Crew are seeking an experienced Underground Electrician to join one of our leading coal mining clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an underground environment, prioritises safety, and is looking for long-term stability with a well-respected operation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and statutory compliance on underground coal mining equipment and infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting and planned maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical maintenance and breakdown support across underground coal machinery & infrastructure
  • Conduct statutory inspections and ensure compliance with mine standards and QLD mining legislation
  • Fault finding, repairs, and scheduled maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Support continuous improvement and safe work practices across the electrical team
  • Accurate reporting and record keeping

Skills & Experience To be successful, you will have:

  • Trade Qualification – Electrician (A Grade)
  • Queensland Electrical Licence
  • Underground Coal Mining experience essential
  • Current Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Coal Board Medical (or able to obtain)
  • LVR/CPR (within 12 months)
  • EEHA, HV Switching or Underground Mine Electrician competencies highly regarded
