About the role

Westmead Christian Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Officer to join our team. This full-time role will be based in Westmead, NSW and will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records on a regular basis
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Provide support to the Finance team as required
  • Ensure financial transactions comply with relevant policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar finance role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software including Xero and Xplor
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of school software systems such as Sentral
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in school settings
