Warrawong Pegasus is a family run business who is looking for a nominated supervisor. Our centre caters for children aged from 2 to 5 years with with focuses on school readiness, inclusion, nature play and Indigenous perspectives.

The Role

We are looking for a leader who is excited about this unique opportunity, who is highly motivated and inspiring leader to lead a cutting-edge centre and grow a team and community

The successful applicant should be committed to engaging with children and families in a variety of ways to facilitate their individual learning styles and show a commitment to continuing their own ongoing research and professional growth.

Within this role you will be managing the day-to-day operations of the service and have opportunities to guide and mentor Educators, form partnerships with families and engage within the wider community.

Requirements.

To be successful in this position, it is expected that you have:

  • Demonstrated ability to build constructive working relationships with families and staff.
  • ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching Degree or equivalent.
  • Previous leadership and management experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership and management experience required.
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Child Protection Training: Identifying and responding to children and young people at risk of harm.
  • Child Protection Training must be completed before starting in the position.
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the NQF and NQS.
  • Understanding of and commitment to exemplary practice that is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Effective skills in conflict resolution, team building and implementing. performance review processes.
  • Oversee the effective operation of the centre, including staffing, rosters, compliance, and quality curriculum.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative policies, standards and requirements.
  • Candidates must hold valid Australian work rights.
