We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of gas controls and equipment. We exclusively represent global OEMs of gas safety controls and gas systems in Australia and looking to expand our team in Victoria.

We are seeking an energetic, hardworking and self-motivated worker for our Springvale based facility.

Previous mechanical, fitting, assembly hand experience in the gas industry will be highly regarded. Successful applicant will possess excellent time management and organisational skills.

Duties include:

  • Perform assembly work on threaded and flanged valve trains in accordance with the construction drawings, work instructions, and high quality standards.
  • Should have knowledge/previous experience in interpreting P & IDs, and CAD drawings for assembly/repair/ troubleshooting.
  • Perform pneumatic leak test and function test on gas safety components , devices.
  • Ensure finished goods are packed correctly and secured before dispatching.
  • Perform pre-assembly activities such as pipe cutting, threading, cleaning, and flange management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve goods returned under warranty, investigate for compliance to product specifications
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, follow appropriate methods and techniques to complete mechanical assembly.
  • Ensure the workshop fittings stock and consumables inventory are replenished on time
  • Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.
  • Forklift experience is highly regarded, if not use pallet-jacking and hand-jacking equipment to move pallets around the factory, warehouse.

The role involves working as part of a team, so communication skills are essential. You will need to be a safety focused worker, have a great set of work ethics and be a reliable team member. You will need your own transport and 2 contactable referees.
