The Towards Change Lead will be a valued member of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Local to undertake the delivery of specialist, evidence based clinical interventions by utilising their extensive clinical mental health experience and skills to support staff to work within an inclusive, participant led model that is centred around the needs and choices of participants. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
- Relevant professional registration with AHPRA (if applicable) and 3+ years senior mental health leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff
- Proven ability to embed lived experience across models of care and demonstrate an understanding of Peer Work Models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain system change

About Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)AWH serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the border cities of Albury and Wodonga. With a dedicated team of over 3,000 professionals, we proudly service a population of up to 300,000 across North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, surgical, women's and children's, community, mental health, allied health, and sub-acute services. Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health
AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies. The diversity of our service provides a range of experiences for our team and will assist you in expanding and embedding your clinical practice skills.
About Mental Health & Wellbeing Local
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Service is an integrated wellbeing and support service delivered through partnership in the Benalla, Wangaratta and Mansfield communities. Operating five days a week, we provide clinical support, care, and wellbeing services to people aged 26+ experiencing mental health challenges, including co-occurring substance use or addiction. The service is community-led and co-designed by participants, carers, and the local community. Partners include Wellways, ACSO and Albury Wodonga Health.
