PPI Valves is a company founded in 2016 by leading industry specialists from the fields of chemical, process and maintenance engineering.

The objective was to develop a better severe service isolation ball valve and to offer industry leading product support to our clients. In 2016, the PPI Valves maintenance facility on the Queensland Sunshine Coast was opened. PPI Valves expanded its personnel resource to include experienced specialists from the oil and gas industry and since then have been supporting the Australian oil and gas sector in providing maintenance and engineering services.

In 2024 PPI Valves opened its Upstream Services workshop in Miles in the Surat Basin to support our growing Coal Seam Gas client base. From this new facility our wellhead commissioning teams can respond to client needs more readily and we can support our clients with valve, actuation, controls and rotating equipment repairs, testing and calibration.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following role in our Coolum and Miles workshops, with some site shutdown work also available:

  • Valve Technicians - Mechanical Trades

We are seeking an individual who enjoys a physical role working outdoors across various sites, has the ability to work both autonomously or within a team environment and has an eye for detail and accuracy. You will be able to demonstrate drive, leadership and commitment in conjunction with business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will possess all or most of the following:

  • Relevant trade certification with at least 5 years industry experience
  • Experienced with maintenance of severe service ball valves and associated actuators
  • Experienced with maintenance of a range of valves and automated controls equipment
  • Experienced with the use of hydro testing equipment and procedures
  • Experience repairing and testing PSV/PRV
  • An understanding of flange management procedures
  • Development of work packages
  • Experience using lathes, mills, drills
  • Experience using TIG welding equipment and welding procedures
  • Experience using intelligent measurement systems
  • Able to understand and follow schedules, and work within time frames
  • Able to plan and execute work in a safe and effective manner

These roles will work typically on a Monday to Friday basis based in our workshops on the Sunshine Coast Queensland, there is also a requirement to provide support our Miles workshops working Monday to Friday rotation ever second or third week. There is also the opportunity to travel to various sites around the world servicing our severe service valve range. A competitive remuneration package is on offer for the right candidates.
