About the Role

We are seeking passionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our growing team in a brand-new Supported Independent Living (SIL) house. You'll play a vital role in supporting participants to live safely, independently, and meaningfully within their community.

This role will begin as 1:1 support and transition to 1:3 support after three months.

Due to participant preference, this position requires a male support worker.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including hygiene, grooming, meals, and mobility assistance.
• Support participants with daily living skills, community access, and social engagement.
• Assist participants to develop independence, confidence, and life skills.
• Promote and encourage active, healthy lifestyles.
• Deliver support during sleepovers and overnight shifts where required.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members.
• Apply strong de-escalation techniques to manage behavioural or emotional challenges calmly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in line with NDIS compliance.
• Follow all organisational policies, procedures, and participant care plans.
• Contribute to a supportive, solutions-focused team environment.

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services (or minimum 3 years' relevant experience).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
• SIL experience highly regarded.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Competence with technology for rosters, progress notes, and reporting.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
• Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $35.15 – $77.81 per hour
