Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Palo Alto Networks Engineer to join our Melbourne team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and migration of enterprise firewall solutions to Palo Alto Networks platforms. The successful candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise with Palo Alto NGFWs, proven migration experience from legacy firewall platforms, and a strong understanding of complex network environments.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) in large-scale, multi-vendor environments.
  • Lead migration projects from legacy firewall platforms (Cisco, Checkpoint, or other vendors) to Palo Alto NGFWs using the Expedition tool.
  • Configure and optimize Virtual Routers, BGP, and dynamic routing on Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain firewall performance and security across complex network topologies.
  • Collaborate with network architects, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure security policies, routing, and configurations meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Document firewall configurations, migration processes, and best practices for ongoing operational support.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide guidance to team members on Palo Alto platforms and security practices.

*Qualifications*

  • Palo Alto Networks Certified – PCNSE required.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in designing and implementing Palo Alto NGFWs.
  • Proven experience migrating from Cisco, Checkpoint, or other firewall vendors to Palo Alto platforms.
  • Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto FW and the Expedition migration tool.
  • Strong understanding of dynamic routing (BGP) and virtual router configuration on Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience working in large, complex, multi-vendor network environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
