So, what does a typical day look like?
As a Catering Attendant, you're an integral member of our team, working across a range of areas to prepare all elements required to deliver a memorable dining experience for passengers onboard our airline customers flights. To do this, you perform a variety of roles across our commercial kitchen and industrial wash areas.

In a Nutshell, Your Main Responsibilities Are

  • Loading and unloading our wash lines, ensuring that all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in perfect condition.
  • Wearing the correct PPE gear in your area, which may include gloves, face masks and eye protection goggles.
  • Safe Handling and use of cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning machines
  • Putting away kitchen utensils, mixing bowls, cutting boards as well as all designated Airline equipment in the correct storage areas
  • You may on occasion be trained in or asked to assist in another area from time to time, this may include the following duties:
  • Food handling, plating meals, and meal tray set, ensuring presentation specifications are met using our visual guides.
  • Stocking airline carts with dry store items including equipment, packaged snacks, and beverages.
  • Compliance with food safety and hazard guidelines, and adherence to strict hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members and your shift supervisor to ensure delivery timelines are met for each flight.

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as move and lift items.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster.
  • Neat and tidy presentation.
  • Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene (desired but not essential).
  • Access to your own reliable mode of transport.
  • As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check - at our cost.
  • Availability to work up to 24 hours/week or more if available.
