THE ROLE

This respected national mid-tier commercial law firm is home to more than 300+ professionals delivering high-calibre legal services across Australia. The Brisbane office boasts a strong property and real estate team with partners recognised nationally for their expertise.

This position offers the opportunity to work on substantial and complex property matters with a diverse mix of clients from major developers and national landlords to corporate tenants and investors. You'll have a seat at the table on major capital transactions, property development projects, and large-scale leasing portfolios.

Your day will include:

  • Advising on significant property acquisitions, disposals, and developments.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating retail, commercial, and industrial leases.
  • Structuring titles and preparing development and construction contracts.
  • Conducting due diligence for large property transactions.
  • Providing strategic advice on risk, compliance, and planning issues.
  • Leading transactions through PEXA.
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a high-performing Associate or Senior Associate (5+ post-admission experience) in commercial property law. You will confidently manage matters with Partner oversight, take responsibility for a diverse range of property transactions, mentor junior lawyers, and collaborate effectively within a high-performing team.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and development matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and technical skills, including PEXA transactions.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • A commercially minded, solutions-focused approach.
  • Motivation to grow your career and make an impact within the team.
