About the Position
As a Lecturer – Agriculture & Rural Operations, responsible for Training in Agriculture and Rural Operations, specialising in short course delivery whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and VET Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package, deliver training for regional and remote community's and specialised cohorts in the Northern Territory.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
• Possess relevant agriculture or rural operations qualification/s and/or demonstrate relevant supervisory level practical industry work experience in Agriculture and Rural Operations.
• Current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or its successor) or willingness to obtain immediately if successful.
• Demonstrated experience providing training within a workplace setting or educational institution.
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language.
• Competency with the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages.
• Have confident skills with machinery and equipment currently used in the team's vocational training packages (4WD vehicles, Side by Sides, Quad Bikes, Motorbikes, Tractors, forklift, Machinery Maintenance, Welding, Chainsaws and Work Health and Safety)
• Ability to camp or stay in staff accommodation in remote and isolated situations.
• Previous experience working in a Team, flexible and sensible attitude when working with others.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at VET Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $74,157 - $111,253 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $86,763 - $130,166 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
