Gym Receptionist

We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Gym Receptionist to join our team. This is a dual-role position that combines front-of-house responsibilities with hands-on fitness support, including program development and class instruction.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our members and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. In addition to reception and administrative duties, you will utilise your fitness qualifications to provide high-quality member programs and occasionally deliver fitness classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting members and guests in a professional manner
• Managing membership enquiries, sign-ups, and general administrative tasks
• Designing and delivering basic exercise programs tailored to member needs
• Occasionally instructing group fitness classes as scheduled
• Ensuring the reception area and gym floor are maintained to a high standard
• Supporting member engagement, retention, and satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in Fitness or higher (mandatory)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification WWCC and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in a gym, health club, or fitness-related role (preferred)
• Knowledge of gym management systems or software (desirable)

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $24.95 – $42.34 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
