Kennel Hand required for busy Veterinary Clinic in Campbelltown

Key responsibilities

• Animal care:
• Feeding animals according to specific schedules.
• Walking, exercising, and playing with the animals.
• Administering medication or treatments as directed by a supervisor.
• Providing basic grooming, such as bathing and brushing.
• Facility maintenance:
• Cleaning and sanitizing cages and other animal living areas to ensure a safe environment.
• Washing laundry and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
• Monitoring and reporting:
• Observing animal behavior and health, and reporting any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes to the Veterinary Nurses.
• Assisting staff:
• Helping with animal procedures.
• Assisting with other tasks as assigned by Veterinary Nurses.
• Customer and public interaction:
• Interacting with the public and providing customer service in some roles.

Skills and qualifications

• Passion for animals: A genuine love for animals and the ability to work with them.
• Physical fitness: The ability to handle physical tasks, which may include walking dogs.
• Observation skills: The ability to monitor and interpret animal behavior and health.
• Cleaning skills: The ability to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Teamwork: The capacity to work effectively with other volunteers and staff.
• Flexibilty: Flexibility with days/hours.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $24.28 – $30.35 per hour
