About the role 

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Sterilising Technician with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team in the SSD department. We are seeking suitably qualified personnel to fill this position where the successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects required to service all sterile equipment used directly for patient care. The position involves participation in a rotating roster including morning and afternoon shifts and occasionally weekends.

  • Overseeing the operations and coordinates the day-to-day sterilising services at SVPCHG is provided in line with all relevant Australian and International standards, in keeping with the philosophy, mission and values of St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney. 

  • Ensuring all sterilising services is delivered within the scope of practice of the sterilising technician and by adhering to policies and procedures of SVPHS and St Vincent's Health Australia (SVHA).

What you look from you

  • Sterilising Technology Certificate III from NSW TAFE preferred not essential 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually. 

  • Awareness of Quality Improvement and Work Health & Safety.
