The Firm Our client is a boutique commercial law firm. This law firm is well known for being dedicated to supporting its clients, its lawyers and its values. The firm is now seeking to add an experienced commercial litigation lawyer at the Senior Associate to Special Counsel level.

Our client's litigation team is thriving and growing and to this end they are looking to recruit an experienced litigator. You can be at the Senior Lawyer level or Senior Associate or Special Counsel level.

The Role

The litigation matters will be complex, interesting and high profile. As a senior litigator you would be able to hit the ground running, form strong client relationships and be able to mentor more junior members of the team. You will be given freedom and autonomy and not be micro-managed. You will be running your own show.

The matters will be broad: from contract disputes to insolvency related litigation to building disputes to trust and equity disputes.

This is a busy practice, with a loyal client base. There is no need to bring in clients.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years plus pae of broad civil and commercial litigation
  • Have strong technical skills, be commercially astute and not just be a black letter lawyer
  • Be organised and be able to juggle competing deadlines
  • First class communication skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to foster strong client relationships
  • Energy, drive and passionate about the area of litigation
