Western Sydney University Early Learning Parramatta

Western Sydney University Early Learning has services situated on the grounds of Western Sydney University Campus, located in Blacktown, Campbelltown, Parramatta, Penrith and the Hawkesbury Areas.

We currently have a Certificate III trainee position available with our Parramatta Service (Rydalmere).

If you are looking to start your career in the Early Childhood Industry in a well-supported and professional environment, this is the position for you. Successful applicants will be offered an 18-month contract to complete all assigned TAFE requirements to receive their Certificate III in Education and Care Service.

About our organisation

WSU Early Learning educators are expected to be active members of the team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. This includes always ensuring the implementation of WSUEL policies and procedures, developing strong supporting relationships with children, families, colleagues and community, and working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service operation. All educators participate in the rotating roster.

WSUEL is a child safe organisation. This position requires you to work with children and, as a condition of employment, you are required to undergo an NSW Working with Children Check and a National police Record Check.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Have or be willing to obtain a Working with the Children Check and National Police check
  • Meet the eligibility to undertake a traineeship in NSW
  • Be motivated and enthusiastic and reliable.
  • Be able to complete assigned TAFE tasks independently.
  • Be well presented and well spoken.
  • Have a passion to work with and educate young children
