Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Urban Psychology Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

The organisation

Urban Psychology is a vibrant and innovative organisation that provides rehabilitation opportunities for service users in the adult criminal justice system. We focus specifically on addressing the use of violence, whether that be family violence, general violence or sexual violence. Our objective is to make the world a safer place, and improve the lives of service users and their families. We provide assessments and interventions so that service users can learn to navigate their way through the world without resorting to aggression or violence. We provide services both in prison and in the community, sometimes face to face and sometimes using Zoom.

Urban Psychology has a well-established team of clinical, administration and senior staff as well as a number of subcontractors. We have created an exceptional culture, that is flexible, supportive and professional. We understand that working in a private practice can be an isolating experience and because we actually enjoy working with people, at Urban Psychology we focus on providing services as a team. Most of our interventions are group-based and we facilitate these programs in pairs with an experienced program supervisor providing continuous support. Our clinical staff have the opportunity to work with some of the most skilled and experienced facilitators in the state.

At Urban Psychology, we enjoy our work, celebrate the small successes, and look for opportunities to have fun
