About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at New Wave Health Services in Sydney, NSW. As our Nurse Practitioner Medicinal Cannabis, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives.
What you'll be doing
- Assessing and diagnosing patient conditions, and developing personalised treatment plans
- Prescribing and managing medicinal cannabis treatments in accordance with relevant regulations
- Providing comprehensive patient education and support on the use of medicinal cannabis
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care
- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
- Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medicinal cannabis
What we're looking for
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Extensive experience in the provision of primary healthcare, with a strong focus on holistic, patient-centred care
- Demonstrated expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of medical conditions
- Comprehensive knowledge of medicinal cannabis treatments, including their therapeutic applications, potential side effects and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- A commitment to continuing professional development and a desire to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field of medicinal cannabis
