Miners Rest Kindergarten, established in 2015, is a sessional kindergarten proudly managed by the Miners Rest Primary School Council. Conveniently located next to Miners Rest Primary School, just 10km northwest of Ballarat, our kindergarten offers a unique year-round transition program through regular school visits, supporting a smooth and confident start to primary education.

Our purpose-built facility features two well-equipped rooms and delivers a fully funded 15-hour-per-week program for both 3- and 4-year-old children.

We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic qualified Early Childhood Co-Educator to join our dedicated team at the start of the 2026 school year.

Position Details
  • Employment Type: Part-time hours per week)

  • Schedule:

  • Session/Contact Times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm

  • Non-Contact Time: 30 minutes before & after each session (required) 2.75 hrs of additional planning time (flexible)

  • Staff Meetings: 0.5hrs (attendance required)

  • Award: VECTEA (includes paid school holidays under the 46/52 model)

  • Contract Period: 27 January 2026 – 27 January 2027
Pay Rates (based on qualification and years of service)
  • Diploma Qualified: $27.14 – $27.96 per hour
  • Certificate III Qualified: $23.04 – $26.74 per hour
