The Opportunity

Paladin Energy is seeking a Principal Sustainability to drive our Sustainability Strategy and lead high-quality sustainability reporting and disclosures. This Perth-based role requires strong writing capability, including experience producing sustainability reports, board-ready papers, and clear communication of complex information. You'll work across key sustainability frameworks, strengthen data quality, and provide insights that support consistent, transparent reporting across the business.

To be successful in the role, the following is essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in environmental management, engineering or a related discipline
  • 5–10 years' experience in sustainability governance, performance or reporting
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and regulatory standards
  • Advanced writing skills, with demonstrated experience producing clear, accurate sustainability reports, disclosures and board papers
  • Ability to translate complex sustainability data into meaningful insights
  • Experience managing sustainability data systems and ensuring data integrity
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A demonstrated commitment to Paladin's core values of Integrity, Respect, Courage and Community in everything you do
  • A collaborative approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Hold valid Australian work rights
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current National Police Clearance

Key Responsibilities

The key duties and accountabilities of this position include:

  • Lead the preparation of Paladin's annual Sustainability Report and related disclosures
  • Develop and refine sustainability policies, systems and internal frameworks
  • Coordinate sustainability data collection and maintain high standards of data quality and auditability
  • Benchmark Paladin's performance against peers and emerging industry expectations
  • Identify sustainability trends, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Communicate sustainability initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support compliance with lender, investor and regulatory requirements
