About the role

Tecbuild Constructions is seeking a talented and experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our growing team in Townsville, Queensland. As a Qualified Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction projects for our diverse range of residential and commercial clients. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding building projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Undertaking major renovations, new builds, sheds, driveways, patios and extensions.
  • Reading and interpreting plans, sketches, and drawings to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
  • Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards, with a focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and other tradespeople to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of projects.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order, and adhering to all relevant safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • Completion of a relevant carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Valid trade certificate is required for this position
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified carpenter in the building and construction industry
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications
  • Strong practical skills and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a team

A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to remote job sites as required
