We are looking for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our Sensia team at Riverwood

Full-time and Part-time options available.

Snapshot of Your First Year with Sensia

  • A 2-week induction period for you to meet your new team and navigate the workplace.

  • One-on-one supervision with a Senior Speech Therapist to mentor you as you build your caseload and beyond
  • Fortnightly Speech Huddle with your peers to discuss latest Evidence-Based Practice, case studies and PD.
  • Attend regular in-services on clinical topics relevant to your professional practice.
  • Work in our fully resourced clinic 3 days a week and work out in the community (e.g. schools, day cares, client homes) the other days.

Founded in 2014 as "The OT Clinic", we rebranded to 'Sensia Allied Health' in 2021 and have since evolved into a multidisciplinary team of therapists that are truly passionate about helping our clients achieve their goals.

Our secure clinic is fully resourced, and includes 15 therapy rooms, a full-sized kitchen, reception area, boardroom and FREE underground staff parking. We provide onsite and offsite therapy services predominately to children with disability, helping them to achieve their goals.

Our senior therapists are highly experienced clinicians with a wealth of knowledge that they love to share.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of paediatric clients and helping them to achieve their goals.

After you have built your caseload, a typical day might look like:

  • Arrive at the clinic with your coffee purchased from the onsite café.
  • Be welcomed by a couple of friendly faces as you enter our reception area.
  • See a couple of clients in the morning, perhaps some Early Intervention clients with whom you are working on speech and communication goals.
  • Enjoy lunch with the whole team to allow a proper 'reset'.
  • After lunch see some school age clients and have rostered time for report writing, supervision or project work.

About You

As our newest speech pathologist, you will bring a passion for making a difference in the lives of your clients and their families.

You will have:

  • A relevant degree in Speech Pathology
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Full Australian working rights
  • NDIS Workers Check, National Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Experience working in paediatric disability and knowledge of the NDIS
  • Your own car and current drivers licence
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with children and their parents
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills
  • A passion for working with children and their families
