Austruss is a manufacturer of quality prefabricated building components for the construction industry located in Braemar near Mittagong, Southern Highlands NSW.

We are proudly Australian owned, designed and made, providing prefabricated light gauge steel framing as well as prefabricated elements such as floor cassettes, wall and facade panels, modular construction, skids for data centres and bespoke solutions. We work in Education, Health, Aged Care, Commercial, Residential and Infrastructure sectors.

As our Design Workflow cadet, you'll help keep our design and production teams running smoothly by managing drawings, paperwork, and project data. It's the perfect role for someone organised, detail-focused, and ready to learn in a hands-on environment.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and update dispatch lists, work orders, and project paperwork.
• Assist the drafting team with drawings for FRAMECAD production, modular builds, and structural layouts.
• Keep project documentation organised and current in Smartsheet and Procore (training provided).
• Coordinate drawing packages for subcontractors and consultants.
• Support quality checks and document control to ensure accuracy across all design outputs.
• Help with ordering materials and parts in Xero (training provided).
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to keep projects on track.

What You'll Bring

• An interest in design, construction, or project coordination.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Great attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• A positive, proactive attitude — you like solving problems and helping the team succeed.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Smartsheet is a bonus, but not essential — we'll provide training
