About the Role:

We are looking for compassionate and experienced Support Workers with a background in disability and aged care. In this role, you will provide a range of services, from personal care and daily living support to assisting clients with outings and community access. Your work will help participants maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Assist with in-home tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and mobility support
  • Facilitate community access and outings, including attending appointments, shopping, gym and recreational activities
  • Support participants in engaging in social and recreational activities, both at home and in the community
  • Maintain accurate records and update care plans as necessary
  • Work autonomously within participants' homes while adhering to safety and care protocols

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) or Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115)
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health (CHC43315) or higher
  • Manual Handling Certification and practical experience
  • First Aid Certification
  • Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in community care, with a focus on disability and aged care
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with neuro-affirmative practices and person-centred care
  • Reliable, well-maintained car with full comprehensive insurance and a valid driver's licence
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with personal care and community access services
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive care solutions
  • Experience dealing and working with complex behaviours
  • Formal training in neuro-affirmative practices
