About the role
We are seeking an experienced Coldstore Storeman to join the team at Poulos Bros Seafoods' in our Morningside, QLD warehouse. This is a full-time position that will see you play a crucial role in our cold storage operations, ensuring the efficient and effective management of our chilled and frozen product inventory.
What you'll be doing
- Receiving, handling, and storing chilled and frozen seafood products in accordance with food safety standards
- Picking, packing, and dispatching orders to meet customer requirements
- Conducting regular stock counts and maintaining detailed inventory records
- Identifying and resolving any storage or handling issues to minimise product waste
- Assisting with the general upkeep and maintenance of the cold storage facility
- Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working in a cold storage or warehousing environment, preferably within the food industry
- A strong understanding of food safety and inventory management principles
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment
- Good physical fitness to handle the demands of the role
