Newtown, Queensland, Australia Alba Italian Restaurant Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled and motivated bartender to join our Italian restaurant in Newtown, just 3 minutes from the station. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has bar experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.

What we offer

  • Part-time contract (5 days per week, including weekends)

About the role

You will work across our service hours:

  • Mon–Thu: 5pm–9pm
  • Fri: 5pm–10pm
  • Sat: 12–3pm & 5–10pm
  • Sun: 12–3pm & 5–9pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Bartending and preparing simple cocktails
  • Running drinks and supporting floor staff when needed
  • Managing the register and transactions
  • Ensuring smooth and attentive bar service

Who we are looking for

  • 1+ years of bartending experience (students with experience are welcome to apply)
  • Willingness to improve, study, and grow into a bar lead role
  • Curiosity and passion for Italian food, wine, and culture
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to costs
  • A positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

Growth opportunities

This is more than a bartending job. We are looking for someone who wants to develop into a bar lead with us. Over time, you will:

  • Research, design, and study to create a customised cocktail menu for the restaurant
  • Place supplier orders and manage bar costs
  • Help shape the drinks experience and contribute to the restaurant's identity
