Are you a skilled Nurse or Midwife Educator with a passion for maternal and child health, cultural respect, and evidence-based practice? Darling Downs Health is seeking a dedicated educator to lead transformative programs across the Western Downs. Based in Dalby, you'll support Child Health Nurses, Midwives, and Health Workers to deliver culturally responsive education that improves outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families during the First 2000 Days.
What your day will look like….
Your day will be a dynamic blend of collaboration, leadership, and innovation. You'll engage with midwives, nurses, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to co-design and deliver education that's grounded in best practice and cultural respect. Whether you're mentoring a student on placement, refining simulation-based training, or integrating national standards into learning materials, your work will directly support safer, more equitable care for families. You'll contribute to quality improvement, support clinical supervision, and help shape a learning culture that empowers others. Every interaction is a chance to build capability, foster connection, and drive meaningful change in maternal and child health.
Let's talk about you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can inspire the following:
- Compassion – you will engage with others and demonstrate empathy, care, kindness, support and understanding.
- Integrity – you are open, honest, approachable, equitable and consistent in everything we do.
- Dignity – you treat others with respect, display reasonableness and take pride in what you do.
- Innovation – you embrace change and strive to know more, learn more and do better.
- Courage – you respectfully question for clarity and have the strength and confidence to Speak Up.
