The Bachar Houli Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established by Australian Rules Football player Bachar Houli. The Foundation aims to develop young leaders within the Muslim community and provide an education platform for wider Australia.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as a High Performance Coach. This role is instrumental in supporting organisational excellence, fostering a culture of high performance, and maximising physical performance and preparation. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate the development and implementation of a premium high-performance program that seeks to optimise the physical performance and preparation of Bachar Houli Foundation (BHF) athletes (youth level), both within our talent pathways and the Islamic College of Sport (ICS).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support the delivery of monitoring, profiling and evaluation of all High Performance participants to ensure that Strength and Conditioning programmes are in place for all and that each player's physical development requirements are tailored to their specific needs and priorities;
  2. Assist with the development and implement appropriate load monitoring, wellness, screening and performance testing procedures and derive accurate, and timely data to inform athletic development protocols.
  3. Engage with and collate relevant GPS data, and educate athletes on its usage and relevance to performance
  4. Communication with key stakeholders (Parents, Clubs, management etc.) in a proactive, professional, and collaborative manner so as to prioritise the experience of our athletes.
  5. Analyse fundamental changes in performance metrics both at individual and collective levels and report to management on findings.
  6. Collate and analyse engagement trends across the high-performance program and report to management on findings.

Please note: this role will require travel between multiple campuses as part of regular duties.

  1. 3+ years' experience working in sport (any level) or athlete development
  2. Bachelor's Degree (Sport Science/Exercise Science) or similar
  3. Australian Strength and Conditioning Association – Level 1
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with a strong track record of achieving outstanding physical development results, especially with youth / high-school level athletes
  5. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  6. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and performance tracking (TeamBuildr, Catapult, other).
  7. Working with Children Check
