About the role
At Western NSW LHD you can challenge yourself, make an impact and shape the future of rural health. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will be integral to us achieving our goal of healthier rural people and thriving communities.
The Assistant in Nursing in Aged Care is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, working under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to support and provide safe, high quality, person-centred care to patients and clients.
You'll have strong communication, empathy, and customer service skills while you assist patients with their daily routines, such as showering, toileting, dressing, eating, communication, mobility, medication, and exercise. You'll keenly observe those in your care, keep accurate electronic patient records and assist in the planning of daily routines and ongoing care.
Working closely to assist the registered nurse, you'll work independently on tasks delegated, collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team, and manage a varied workload with competing priorities.
Molong is part of the wider Orange region, offering residents access to additional services and amenities while maintaining a more peaceful, rural lifestyle, located 4hours drive from Sydney.
We have multiple full time, part time and casual opportunities available.
We commit to support you in an inclusive, collaborative, and caring team environment, and will help you develop the skills you need to reach your potential.
