Are you passionate about Soccer (Football) and fostering a positive, energetic sports environment?

Please note: This is a volunteer position - you will be paid a tax free amount per game that you referee.

SportUp Sunshine Coast is on the lookout for enthusiastic referees to facilitate our full court indoor futsal/indoor soccer games (beginner to intermediate).

If you have experience in officiating and/or a strong understanding of Soccer, we welcome you to apply.

Role Snapshot:

- Vibrant community atmosphere

- Mon, Tue, Wed and/or Thur evenings.

- Flexible scheduling: Evenings at Buderim & Meridan Plains (5:30pm-9:45pm)

- Competitive remuneration paid per game.

- 12-week season commitment

- Comprehensive training and support

Key Responsibilities and duties:

- Oversee the setup and pack down of all relevant equipment (iPads, balls, nets, etc)

- Record game scores and social points

- Ensure the punctuality of the game schedule

- Communicate player or venue issues with the manager

- Manage risks and making decisions about play that will limit injuries and ensure all players enjoy their game

- Give basic first aid and inform the manager of all injuries promptly

- Be able to make quick assertive decisions as game play unfolds

- Uphold the spirit of the game with a focus on fostering a social atmosphere

Ideal Candidate:

- Strong grasp of Soccer rules and a fair-play attitude

- Effective communication and quick decision-making skills

- Availability on Mon, Tue, Wed or Thur nights

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.66 – $33.33 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 12 per week
