About the Role:
We are looking for 2 x Full-Time Commis Chefs looking to join our fast-paced à la carte alfresco dining experience, renowned for its bold décor, quality food, and exceptional service. Serving meals daily from 11:00am to 9:00pm, The Kitchen offers a vibrant environment where you will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals and enhancing the dining experience for our club patrons.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Assist in food preparation, including washing, cutting, peeling, marinating, seasoning, and portioning.

Prepare and cook meat, seafood, and vegetables using a variety of methods such as frying, grilling, baking, and stewing.

Work in a designated section as allocated by the Head Chef.

Collaborate with a small team of apprentices to help develop their skills.

Prepare ingredients and components in advance for upcoming service periods.

Contribute innovative ideas and specials that showcase your creative flair.

Maintain a clean and organised cooking section while adhering to food safety standards and HACCP protocols.

Support the Head Chef in conducting stocktake once a month.
About you:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
-
Previous commercial kitchen experience
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
-
Passion for food and attention to detail
-
Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
-
Positive, team-focused attitude
-
Willingness to learn
-
Availability to work days, nights, and across all seven days of the week
