Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aged Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to elderly individuals across all industries. As an Aged Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our elderly clients. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist elderly individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to promote a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Document and report any changes in clients' physical or mental conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans.
  • Participate in training and educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills in aged care.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Agerd Care
  • Previous experience in aged care or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient nature.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Aged Care Act.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle stressful circumstances.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are desirable.
