Our Melbourne restaurant, located in the heart of the Tullamarine, is a buzzing space where we serve up honest, seasonal dishes made with ethically sourced ingredients. We're proud of what we do, and we're looking for a like-minded leader to join our team.

About the Role

We're on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager (or Senior Supervisor ready to step up) to help lead our Melbourne venue.

Assistant Managers at the Ducks do more than support their Managers – they roll up their sleeves, lead from the floor, and inspire the team to deliver memorable experiences for our guests. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow within a values-driven hospitality group that prioritises balance, teamwork, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a dedicated front-of-house team
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, building a strong workplace culture
  • Maintain high standards of service and presentation
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints with care
  • Oversee budgets, cost control and revenue growth
  • Manage stock levels and supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene, health, and safety legislation
About You
  • 3+ years leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality venue
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Passionate about customer service and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Community-minded, positive and hands-on
  • Confident managing costs, budgets and revenue
  • Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
