About the role

An opportunity has become available for a Store person / Yard Hand to join our dynamic team in the Pilbara. We are looking for a hard-working individuals, to fill important all-rounder positions to support the efficient operation of the company.

This role is offered on 7 days on and 7 days off roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual labour and providing support to tradespersons within the assigned section
• Ensuring WHS Compliance within your control.  Understand and comply with your duty of care under the mining inspection act of WA.
• Liaising with clients and interacting with other trades, contractors and client personnel as required in a respectful manner.
• Proper and professional operation of all plant and machinery (ONLY) for which you are licensed to operate.  Must comply with specific site requirements at all times.
• Treating all plant and equipment in a professional and dutiful manner at all times.
• Ensure workshops, sites and yard are kept in a safe and tidy condition demonstrating initiative and proactively executing duties
• Physical works within the Landscaping Department
• Carrying out duties in line with sound horticultural practices to promote the growth and wellbeing of vegetation both existing and newly established.
• Ability to understand site procedure requirements
• Ability to complete basic risk assessments both individually and group activities
• Willing to participate in respectful safety driven conversations
• Ability to use various hand tooling as required for various tasks
• Regularly clean and maintain the manufacturing workshop and yard to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
• Wash company vehicles, machinery, and equipment, ensuring they are presentable and in good working condition.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and use appropriate cleaning products.
• Support other departments with tasks such as loading and unloading materials, as needed.

Skills and Experience

· Minimum 2 years' experience in mining industry environment

· Must hold current WA drivers licence

· Must hold current white card for work within the construction industry

· Capacity to undertake multiple projects simultaneously

· Good communication skills both written and oral

· Patient and mature approach to the working environment

· Team building skills

· Sound understanding of the general building and/or landscaping industry

· Have awareness of and capacity to carry out physical work in climatic such as those that prevail in Pilbara.
