Step into the role of Factory Assistant, where you'll get hands-on with mobile machinery, support vital plant operations, and be a key player in keeping everything running smoothly. No two days will be the same as you dive into the heart of the sugar industry

Step into the heart of the Whitsundays and feel like you're working in paradise With stunning beaches and a buzzing community spirit, it's the ideal spot to find the perfect balance between work and relaxation.

This is a seasonal position in our sugar processing factory which requires permanent night-shift work during the crushing season including weekends, overtime and day work during the maintenance period.

Your Role in Action

  • Shredder Commander: Master the start-up and shutdown operation of shredders which are driven by steam turbines.
  • Mobile Plant Pro: Hop on mobile equipment to tackle product spills, re-rail bins, and handle a variety of other tasks with ease.
  • Milling Train Assistant: Support the team by helping with the start-up and shutdown of the Milling Train
  • Smooth Operator: Clean and lubricate key equipment like spotters, carriers, and pinions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Tradesperson's Right Hand: Work alongside skilled shift tradespeople, providing hands-on support when and where it's required.

We're looking for someone eager to learn and grow in this role, with the opportunity for training tailored to meet our business needs. While the following qualifications are required, we encourage applicants who may not yet have these but are keen to obtain them:
