We are on the lookout for keen and enthusiastic candidates to start or continue, an Apprenticeship in Boiler Making with Action Trades & Apprenticeships. As an Apprentice Boiler Maker with Action, you'll:

  • Collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals to master the art of designing, constructing, and installing custom mild to heavy fabrication projects in the residential and commercial industries. This hands-on experience will expose you to various tools and materials, allowing you to craft unique, high-quality pieces tailored to clients' needs.
  • You will be presented with opportunities to be involved in the fabrication and installation processes.
  • Navigate a dynamic work environment, engaging in both factory and on-site tasks depending on the project.

Guided by skilled tradespeople, you'll:

  • Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
  • Measuring materials using various tools such as rulers, tapes, and micrometers
  • Cutting, bending, shaping, and joining sheet metal using various tools such as shears, press brakes, and welding machines
  • Operating computer-aided design (CAD) and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce sheet metal parts and components
  • Preparing surfaces for finishing by cleaning, grinding, or sanding
  • Assembling and installing sheet metal products and components.

To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, you should:

  • Possess a keen interest in the engineering industry.
  • Demonstrate interest and commitment to completing an apprenticeship.
  • Hold a Driver's License and have your own reliable vehicle.

Be physically fit, self-disciplined, and detail oriented.

  • Showcase reliability, resilience, motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow direction and prioritize safety for yourself and your team.
