We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient professional with a strong background in Defence trials, systems engineering, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, precision, and a deep understanding of test and evaluation processes to evolve EOS's Trials and Training capability.
In this role you will lead the planning and execution of complex trials and training activities across EOS sites and customer facilities, ensuring alignment with engineering standards, safety protocols, and business objectives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver validated, integrated solutions that support EOS's operational readiness and strategic growth.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to manage multi-domain trials, mentor technical teams, and navigate Defence compliance frameworks. They will be eligible for NV1 clearance and capable of acting as a Nominated Person under the EOS Firearms Permit, with a commitment to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
The role plays a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of EOS's engineering and operational objectives by ensuring trials and training activities are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical rigor. This role directly contributes to EOS's ability to demonstrate capability, validate systems, and maintain its competitive edge in the Defence sector.
You will provide expertise in test and evaluation planning, systems integration, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across multi-domain Defence environments. Your deep technical knowledge and leadership will ensure trial activities are aligned with strategic goals and compliant with regulatory and safety frameworks.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of trials and training activities at EOS facilities, firing ranges, and customer sites.
- Oversee work in accordance with policies.
- Ensure trial activities are conducted under appropriate configuration control and quality assurance frameworks.
- Identify risks and propose treatments
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to trial team members.
- Allocate resources to meet business priorities and project requirements.
- Manage tools and systems to improve team effectiveness and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Participate in assurance activities and review boards.
- Provide engineering deliverables cleared for release and accurate advice including risk and issue analysis.
- Act as a Nominated Person under the EOS Firearms Permit in accordance with the NSW Firearms Act 1996 and Firearms Regulation 2017.
Experience
- Extensive experience in Defence trials, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
- Proven ability to lead complex trials involving multi-domain systems and stakeholders.
- Eligibility for NV1 security clearance.
- Qualifications in engineering, systems integration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Defence safety and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with live weapon firings, RF testing, and system acceptance is highly desirable.
