We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Painter to apply paint and coatings to various surfaces using spray guns and other specialized equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of paint mixing, surface preparation, and application techniques, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming as required before painting.
  • Mix and match paints to achieve desired color and finish according to specifications.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other coatings using spray guns or automated spray systems.
  • Ensure even coating and proper drying times between layers.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for quality and consistency; make touch-ups or corrections as needed.
  • Maintain and clean spray-painting equipment and work areas.
  • Follow safety procedures related to handling chemicals and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work with supervisors or team leads to ensure jobs are completed on time and meet customer or production standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a spray painter, automotive painter, or industrial painter (depending on industry).
  • Familiarity with spray-painting equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Good eye for detail, color matching, and surface finishing.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications, technical drawings, or color codes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in spray painting or related trade training.
  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, aerospace, or construction industries.
  • Knowledge of different types of coatings (e.g., powder coating, epoxy, polyurethane).

Work Environment:

  • May work indoors in paint booths or outdoors, depending on the job.
  • Requires wearing PPE such as respirators, gloves, and protective clothing.
  • Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and noisy environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $95,500.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
