Exciting opportunity currently available for a proficient Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our friendly healthcare team at Dubbo Family Doctors. Bring your enthusiasm for patient-centered care and for learning. You will be working in a supportive environment alongside a welcoming group of 16 general practitioners and GP registrars, 5 practice nurses, 2 medical practice assistants, dietitian and administrative team. Our focus is on the provision of high-quality, holistic, patient-centered care. Position details:

This permanent part-time position is available for November start.

Rostered shifts 4/5 shifts per fortnight, including late opening Thursday.

Our ideal candidate would also have the flexibility of working additional days to help cover for staff leave.

Minimum qualifications / experience:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.

A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience working in clinical practice.

Previous experience within general practice desirable but not essential.

Preference will be given to candidates with previous General Practice experience, however all Registered and Enrolled Nurse applications will be considered.

~ Essential clinical competencies include immunisations, wound care, and chronic disease management

Duties:

Nursing services in the general practice context:

~ Clinical assessment, diagnostic services, therapeutic care and treatment

~ Maintain accurate patient records

~ Coordinate patient services

~ Provision of health information and promotion of patient self-care

~ Utilisation of clinical data to drive practice improvements

~ Assist with improving access to care and health outcomes for our Aboriginal and ESL patients ~ Provision of health care to patients with physical and intellectual disabilities.

~ Assist practice in meeting relevant standards and legislative requirements in records management, cold chain management, infection control, management of poisons and therapeutic substances, accreditation, and workplace health and safety
