Taxi Driver

ACT Cabs is the local and largest taxi service in Canberra (ACT), Queanbeyan (NSW) and surrounding regions.

We are hiring and training taxi drivers in Canberra, Queanbeyan and surrounding regions.

You must hold a full Australian driver licence to be eligible. You must already be present in Canberra, Queanbeyan or surrounding regions to be eligible.

Weekend and Weekday work is available. Flexible working arrangements can be made.

We offer great working conditions. You will be backed by an experienced team of support staff that know the taxi industry inside out.

We train and guide new taxi drivers.

New taxi drivers must complete the following items to get a taxi license. ACT Cabs will guide you:

1. Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP Check via Access Canberra)

2. Medical Check (we will give you the health assessment forms and refer you to a recommended doctor)

3. Nationally coordinated criminal history check - complete online via the following direct link: 

4. Training is provided before you commence driving.

If you drive 50 or more shifts, we will reimburse the full cost of your expenses to obtain a taxi licence.

We are looking for people who will provide good customer service to our large customer base.

• Good income potential: 5 shifts = $1,300+ per week (average earnings)
