About the role:

Do you enjoy hands-on work and servicing customers face to face?

Hardings Hardware & Hudson Building Supplies in Nerang is on the lookout for a reliable and flexible team player to join us as a Trade Yard hand on a full-time basis.

Operates a 38-hour work week Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for picking and packing orders, serving customers, loading trucks (some heavy lifting required) and keeping the yard clean and well organised.  

Whether you're ready in the trade industry or looking to get your foot in the door, this is a great opportunity to join a respected name in trade and hardware.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of all fellow staff, customers and contractors within their department
  • Serving customers - helping them with their orders, and providing them with fast, efficient service
  • Operating forklift, loading and unloading trucks
  • Picking orders to be sent out on delivery trucks
  • Putting away stock, mainly timber and associated products

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines
  • Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day
  • An eye for detail and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to be available for work across the 5 days of the week 
  • A current Forklift Licence is a must
