The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Draftee to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed drawings for residential projects, working closely with our sales, design, compliance, estimating and construction team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, detailed and precise working drawings, documentation, and construction plans including specifications, schedules, and detailed notes for clients, builders, and contractors.
- Interpret conceptual design briefs and client requirements into functional and compliant designs.
- Collaborate with the sales, design, compliance, estimating and construction team to ensure design accuracy and buildability.
- Revise and update drawings as per client requests, building specifications or regulatory feedback and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Ensure quality control by reviewing all completed designs, drawings, and documentation to comply with current building codes, council requirements, and relevant Australian standards.
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders.
- Utilize Revit software proficiently to produce high-quality, accurate drawings maintaining design and construction standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Draftee within the residential construction industry.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential including experience with creating and managing Revit families and 3D models.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, current building codes and Australian standards.
- Knowledge in CDC & DA compliance clauses, relevant reports and council controls.
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Be able to work effectively with project teams and communicate with clients and consultants to achieve common goals.
