About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Fire Technician to join FIRE STOP's growing Northern NSW team. You'll maintain, install, and repair essential fire systems, from hydrants and alarms to emergency lighting, ensuring every site stays safe and compliant. You'll have real autonomy, support from experienced colleagues, and access to modern tools and systems that make the job easier.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Service, install and repair extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, alarms, and exit lighting
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance to Australian Standards
- Advise clients and ensure compliance documentation is accurate
- Work collaboratively to deliver reliable, high-quality service
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong trade skills and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Fire protection experience ideal (training provided for the right person)
- Problem-solving ability and clear communication
- A valid electrical license is highly desirable and will attract the higher end of the pay range
- Valid driver's licence essential for this role
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including installation and repair of fire protection equipment
