About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career as an Apprentice Butcher at K A Quality Meats' in South Penrith, NSW. As an Apprentice Butcher, you will learn the art of butchery while working alongside experienced professionals in a full-time, hands-on role. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable industry experience and working towards obtaining your Butcher qualifications.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting senior butchers with the preparation, processing and packaging of meat products
- Gaining experience in carcass breakdown, boning, trimming, and portion control
- Learning safe and hygienic food handling practices
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
What we're looking for
- A keen interest in the butchery trade and a desire to learn
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods
