About The Role
Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. As an Australian Defence Force partner, Ventia works across some of Australia's newest, most unique equipment including artillery, small arms, instruments, night vision equipment, high-tech armoured vehicles, personnel carriers, and propulsion equipment.

As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for conducting stores tasks, including account management and stocktakes. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Site's maintenance function.

Responsibilities Include

  • Unload goods and check them against order forms
  • Catalogue or label items with storage details
  • Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors
  • Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off the appropriate lists
  • Package and send out completed orders to customers
  • Move heavy packages using forklift machinery
  • Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers
  • Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers

About You

  • Demonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalent
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • Forklift license desirable
  • Driver's License essential
  • Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills
  • Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft and Defence systems desirable
  • Relevant professional qualifications are desirable
  • You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
