Role description:
We're on the lookout for an experienced Port Project Design Manager to join us in Sydney or Melbourne to support our growing national ports team. Step into a key role where your expertise will help deliver next-generation port infrastructure.
Role accountabilities:
- To work with the Project Manager, client and project stakeholders to achieve an optimal outcome for the project and Arcadis in terms of time, cost and quality.
- To manage the technical delivery and integration of multi-disciplinary designs, providing leadership and direction to ensure excellence in delivery.
- Planning and managing resource usage for the delivery of the project's scope of works.
- To lead design teams and manage the challenges associated with multi-disciplined complex engineering problems and have the ability to plan, manage and implement solutions.
- To drive optimal and high-quality design decisions by promoting a culture of collaboration, challenge, innovation, and creativity across the whole delivery team.
- To participate in project risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
- Implementing scope and quality control measures while ensuring we meet our project and safety in design commitments.
Qualification & Experience:
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
- Degree qualified engineering professional.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the port industry on marine or landside projects.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams in port projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment.
- A detailed understanding of the technical disciplines involved in port projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good leadership and relationship building skills.
