About Your Role
- Assist with the communication, wellbeing and identity of Deaf or hard of hearing (HoH) students using Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN).
- You will contribute to the implementation of a quality care and education program for the allocated group of children.
- You will provide support where children experience difficulties in communication using AUSLAN.
About You:
- Confident in supporting educational programs tailored to individual and group needs.
- Skilled in delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
- Uses positive guidance to promote empathy, care, and respect.
- Proactive and responsible, with a strong focus on safety and wellbeing.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Certificate III in Early Childhood (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) and at least Certificate III in Auslan.
- Knowledge of Early Years Learning, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, and National Quality Standards.
- Blue Card (Child Related Employment)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
